Impact of teaching practice on the teacher's student in English

Abstract

This article takes a brief tour of the teacher training program in El Salvador and the teaching practice component. Then it enters into the analysis and reflection on how teaching practice impacts positively or negatively on the professional profile of the future English teacher. This analysis is done on the basis of 10 key assumptions that all good teaching practice must achieve. Teaching practice is a fairly strong and systematized component within said training program that provides very favorable results; However, as I demonstrate in this article, there are areas where it does not have the impact it is supposed to have.
