Information For Authors

Diá-logos Journal only publishes original and unpublished articles that are not under review in other journals at the time of being submitted for evaluation in our journal.

Diá-logos Journal assumes the responsibility of publishing errata and retracting articles that have not met the standards of scientific review or that the authors themselves are aware of withdrawing the article from the journal.

Are you interested in publishing in the journal? It is recommended that you review the About the Journal page to consult the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors must register with the journal before publishing or, if they are already registered, they can simply log in and begin the five-step process.

Diá-logos Journal does not have a set fee to publish an academic or scientific article.

Diá-logos, the Education Journal of the Distance Education Directorate and the Institute of Pedagogical Research and Training of the Don Bosco University, collects academic writings that can be in the format of an academic article, research report, successful educational experience, and presentation. In order to be published in the journal, they must follow the following guidelines:

  1. Structure of the research report (empirical type article)

Title or name of the research.
Name(s) of the author(s): with academic degree, position held and institution where he/she works.
Abstract: In Spanish and English including key words, no more than 250 words of text.
Introduction that includes three parts: (1) The description of the specific problem under study. It should be developed in one or two paragraphs. (2) Theoretical framework, reference framework or literature review that discusses all professional and academic literature compiled by the researcher, which is related to the research work. Through citations (APA system), recognition is provided to previous studies that are specifically related to his/her work. And (3) the purpose, which formally states the objective and reasoning of his/her hypothesis, in addition to defining the possible variables.
Methodology: description of the procedures and methods to study the problem.
Results: data collection and statistical presentation of the same. The results or findings are briefly discussed and then the data is presented in detail to justify the conclusion.
Discussion: Discussion of the results, their importance, implications and possible applications.
References: In alphabetical order, according to the APA system. Appendices or annexes.

  2. Review Article structure

Every article must have the following elements in the suggested order:

Title or name of the article.
Name(s) of the author(s): with academic degree, position held, and institution where he/she works.
Abstract: in Spanish and English, including keywords, no more than 250 words of text.
    Introduction: including the thesis.
Development or body or text of the article: with its analysis categories. Citations are made according to the APA system (last update)
    Conclusion.
Bibliographic references: In alphabetical order according to the APA system (See document on APA Standards).

  3. Structure of the successful educational experience

    Title or name
    of the experience
Name(s) of the author(s): With academic title, position held and institution where he/she works.
Summary: In Spanish and English, no more than 250 words of text.
    Introduction
Description of the experience or project: Describes and places the experience in time and space, its scope and limits. Likewise, it expresses who carried it out. It includes the objectives and goals; that is, what is intended to be achieved or was achieved in educational terms at the end of the project or experience. It also includes the justification of the project, explaining why the project or experience is or was important to carry out.
Methodology: Explains how it was done, the procedures, actions or steps that were followed for its development.
Achievements: This is the part that highlights the benefits, impact, innovations or scope of the goals and objectives. Evidence is given of what makes the educational project or experience successful. It can be supported with data, tables and figures.
Limitations and challenges: Explains the obstacles that influenced and affected the results and what, for whatever reason, was not met and therefore needs to be overcome.
Conclusion: Expresses the final evaluations of the experience and its achievements.
Bibliographic references: in alphabetical order, according to the APA system.

  4. The presentation.

It does not have a rigid structure, but generally includes an introduction, development of the topic and conclusion. It does not necessarily have citations or bibliography, although this is highly desirable, but it does require complete information on the speaker (the same as in the article) and the event where the conference was held: name, place and date.

Scientific articles, experiences and presentations should be between 15 and 20 letter-sized pages long, including figures, notes and references.
