Financing Sources
Authors of articles must clearly and transparently state whether they have received funding for the development of their research project. They must indicate whether the financial support received is from a public or private entity. Likewise, it must be made clear whether the aid was for data collection, data analysis, writing of the text, translation into another language, etc.
Each author of the article must report on the sources of funding they have received.
The data to be included are:
- Name of the funding entity.
- Identification number of the funding or reference of the subsidized research project.
- Name of the project.
- Brief description of the funding entity's participation in the research (design and participation in some phase of the research, analysis, writing, review, decision to submit the article for publication, etc.). If the funding entity has not participated in the execution of the research, this must be specifically stated.
This information must appear:
- In metadata: when the article's metadata is entered, the information must be included. It is mandatory to include the complete reference (Project title, Funding entity/ies, Program or call, Reference) within the 'Supporting agencies' metadata section.
- In the article: this information must be reflected in the final section of the article, before the bibliographical references.
