Abstract

Since the widespread integration of Artificial Intelligence systems into daily life and social dynamics in general, the number of questions, most of them still unanswered, regarding various ethical aspects associated with both the development and use of this technology, has steadily increased. In the field of education, there is a specific area that the authors agree, due to its limited research, requires urgent and necessary analysis of the ethics of implementing Artificial Intelligence systems: educational research. By adopting a qualitative approach, and implementing a systematic review process, a set of academic publications that have served as a basis for addressing this topic has been identified and analyzed. The main result is the proposal of a system of ethical dimensions that can be useful for ethically guiding and contextualizing the processes of implementing AI systems in educational research. Furthermore, based on this system, two approaches to the ethics of educational research in the context of AI are distinguished and characterized: the ethics of AI research in education and the ethics of research with AI in education.
