Third force and main subject: a people with a Socratic spirit and christian inspiration

Abstract

In this paper we try to show two things: first, that the concept of tercera fuerza (third force) is a key analitic term ibn Ignacio Ellacuría’s philosophy, not because of its profile of third way, but as a concrete expression of Main Subject in history. Second, we try to show the profile this Main Subject as third force, read as expression in diverse historical moments, according the analysis of I. Ellacuría, showing the link this profile has and the profile of philosophy of liberation.
