This article presents and analyzes
documentary and journalistic information regarding the cancellation of legal personalities and confiscation of higher education campuses in Nicaragua, and the reforms to Law No. 89 of 1990 on the Autonomy of Higher Education. The results of this set of processes were verified in five concrete facts: the illegalization of almost three dozen institutions of Higher Education, the effects
of the illegalization in the Higher Education subsystem, the proliferation of national universities, the instrumentalization of these new institutions as means of control and political indoctrination, and the reconfiguration of the structure and functions of the National Council of Universities (CNU) from the reforms to Law No. 89 of 1990. In short, this process tends to lead to an absolute loss of Nicaraguan University autonomy.
Ricardo García Vásquez, Enrique Muñoz Reyes Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://www.revistas.udb.edu.sv/ojs/index.php/typ/article/view/354 Thu, 21 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Educational panorama of the Sociales Sciences in Central America https://www.revistas.udb.edu.sv/ojs/index.php/typ/article/view/355
This paper maps and analyzes the offer of Social Sciences degree programs in Central American universities and, at the same time, characterizes and problematizes the development of Social Sciences in the region. Through the mapping of the academic offer, the diversity of academic programs related to the Social Sciences is identified and analyzed, in specific disciplines, defining a study profile. This has made it possible to visualize the training presences and absences, make visible the disciplinary emphases and predominant trends, as well as identify possible gaps or imbalances in the training of professionals in Social Sciences in the region, through a comparative exercise. A characterization of the development of the Social Sciences in Central America is presented, considering its historical evolution, the theoretical and methodological approaches that have been present, and the main areas of research addressed in the past and in the present (identifying the challenges faced by the field). Finally, reflective aspects are raised on the construction or restructuring of the field at the present time.
Claudia Reneé Meyer Pacheco Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://www.revistas.udb.edu.sv/ojs/index.php/typ/article/view/355 Thu, 21 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000 A pastoral proposal for parish renewal from the Magesterium of the Church https://www.revistas.udb.edu.sv/ojs/index.php/typ/article/view/356
Parishes have currently followed a pastoral tradition focused fundamentally on sacramental assistance and attention to ecclesial groups and associations but were far from the mission of the Church that the Magisterium of the Church has initiated since the Second Vatican Council. This article advocates for a parish renewal, in which teams of priests serve the parish. This implies territorial
reorganization, assignment of priestly teams, and understanding of the mission of the Church from a Latin American perspective as the people of God and Church of the poor.
David Jacob Romero García Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://www.revistas.udb.edu.sv/ojs/index.php/typ/article/view/356 Thu, 21 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000
